Power Supply Section
Here, I have stripped the transformers and supply capacitors. This made the amp much lighter, exposed the amplifier boards, frame
and power supply. Once I had done this, I new I should have done this a lot sooner. The frame has some spots of rust on the top, and
the bottom had some zinc pitting. The pitting was the results of not cleaning the splatter of flux after soldering... sloppy work. The rust
and pitting was polished out with a fine metal polish and the whole chassis was given a coat of wax.
The relay is pulled form the power supply PCB. The
contacts are polished, the PCB is cleaned. Here is an
image just after pulling the relay.
